New analysis on Sherlock: “The chemistry of feelings”. Moments when his face shows sentiment. Only when he’s alone or taken aback. Inspired by ”Sentiment is a chemical defect found in the losing side.” and “I imagine John Watson thinks love’s a mystery to me, but the chemistry is incredibly simple and very destructive” and of course Benedict’s acting.
*As a note, going through this, I detected quite a difference in Sherlock’s interpretation than in the Pilot episode. The script makes Benedict behave a lot more like an introvert, he’s colder, more calculated and lots of his “close-up feeling” scenes are showing him play a sentiment, rather than experience it. But I think I like this Sherlock more. So there, my opinion.
